My Ms. Pac-Man outfit was probably the closest I’ve done to a “Sexy ______” costume. This one was 2006-ish, I think.
Ms. Pac-Man, for reference, has a red bow, red gloves, and red high heels.
I made the dress in bright yellow with wide red straps and a matching wide ribbon faux belt. I wore red heels and gloves with a red hair ribbon. I put fruit iron-on appliques on EVERYTHING, because why not…and I made a necklace with huge glass fruits! Extra points everywhere!
After the dress was done, I thought the whole thing needed more Pac-reference. So, I improvised a 2-sided clutch bag from a small purse pattern. It has the red ghost (that one is named Blinky…why do I know this off the cuff??) on one side, a blue ghost on the reverse. I carried that around along with this chunky “handheld” pac-man game I have from the early 80s. I love inconvenient costume accessories!
I still have this dress. If I ever revisit it, I’d like to possibly add a map of level 1 Ms. Pac-Man to the front of the skirt portion…or maybe a wrap-around design. My Ms. Pac-Man outfit was probably the closest I’ve done to a “Sexy ______” costume. This one was 2006-ish, I think.
